No affiliate links are live on this site at present. Nothing on Action Camera Auditor currently earns a commission when you click it. This page describes both the current position and the terms that apply when affiliate links are in use, so the change is on the record before it happens rather than after.
When affiliate links go live, this page will be updated on the same day, the disclosure bar at the top of every page will say so, and the footer will carry the required Amazon Associates statement.
How affiliate links work when they are in use
Some links become affiliate links. If you click one and buy something, we may receive a small commission at no extra cost to you — the price you pay is the same whether you use our link or go to the retailer directly.
Affiliate links appear in predictable places: inside product reviews, in comparison tables, in "check price" buttons and in some buying-guide recommendations. They are labelled, and they are placed where we would have mentioned the product anyway.
Every click-out carries rel="sponsored nofollow" and opens in a new tab.
Which programmes we participate in
- Amazon Associates — intended as the primary programme, covering cameras, accessories, mounts and memory cards. When active, the required statement appears in the site footer.
- Manufacturer programmes — occasionally used where a brand offers a direct affiliate channel.
We do not run display advertising. There are no ad slots anywhere on this site, and no advertising network is loaded on any page.
Our commitment to independence
Affiliate relationships do not change a score. Concretely:
- Every camera on this site was bought at retail with our own money. If a unit is ever loaned — rare — the review says so at the top.
- We do not accept payment for positive reviews, and we do not accept free review units as a condition of coverage.
- The scoring rubric is fixed. The same five weights apply to every camera, so scores are directly comparable and cannot be quietly adjusted for a better-paying product.
- Where a competing camera wins a criterion, we name it and say by how much.
Your choices
You never have to use an affiliate link. You can search for the same product directly at any retailer. Using ours supports the site at no cost to you.
